The Addias Gazelle: Cool in the 70s and with Gen Z?!

Addias is brand known around the world, but it seems in recent months it has had a rather large reemergence with Gen Z leaving it as a leader in this seasons upcoming trends. From sportswear to streetwear you can find a huge selection of potions with Addias, but in 2024 we have seen one standout style, the Gazelle. With its first look at huge popularity in the 1970’s and 80s by fashion icons like Mick Jagger and Kate Moss, to a relaunch of the style in boosting sales again in 2016, to current day with help of Tik Tok, Harry Styles, and Gucci, it is one of the most iconic/recognizable footwear on the street right now. “These shoes are so unlike everything that was in trend up until now; they’re slim, non-chunky, travel-friendly, and the best part — colorful!”, wrote Aishani Grover for her blog.

Gen Z loves a good throw back especially in their style so it is of no surprise that these classic, retro style has seen the boom it has. Drawing on its past and aligning with the current trends is one thing Addias has become great at throughout its time. Coming out this different fun and exciting colors with each season has just continued to peak the interest of young consumers. I know I personally have three pairs in my closet right now and I’m probably not stopping there!
